The aim of the research, within the context of an intercultural comparison between Poland and France, was to clarify the links between the different representations of national and supranational identity and their links with attitudes towards immigrants. The results highlight: 1) opposition between ethnic and cultural identities on the one hand, and civic, European and universalist identities on the other; 2) that ethnic and European identities are more present in Poland, while civic and universalist identities are more present in France; 3) the mediating role of integration models on the links between representation of identity and attitudes toward immigrants. In discussion, we evoke the interest of studying the effects of these different representations of identity by distinguishing more precisely the integration models and by approaching the point of view of immigrants.
