The Paris Cité University Institute of Psychology is a major player in the training of psychologists in France, underpinned by high-level research. It has leveraged the affordances of digital technologies to innovate in research and teaching, setting up a new technological platform to help develop applications of virtual reality in various fields of psychology to strengthen basic and applied research. This platform also provides initial and continuing training in the design of virtual environments used in research or clinical practice. The RV-Psy platform has engaged with the management team in an innovative educational project to improve the training of undergraduate students in psychological examinations through the simulation of clinical interviews in virtual reality. We provide an overview of the project’s progress and prospects in this training area.
