Psychology, yesterday, today, and tomorrow

Current developments at the institute

From Antiquity to the 19th and 20th centuries, nascent psychology has always accompanied its time or reacted to it, both in terms of socio-political and religious aspects as well as philosophical and scientific. In the coming decades, humanity will face three key challenges: 1/ terrorism and new wars around the world, 2/ environmental and climate threats (including consecutive migrations), and 3/ the rise and influence (or control) of Artificial Intelligence (AI). At the heart of each of these three questions is the human factor. The conclusion is therefore immediate: we need precise and effective human science to take stock of it and act appropriately. Today, it is offered to us on a platter. Now, reinforced by the advances in neurosciences, scientific psychology has all the assets to help us meet these challenges.
