The Laboratory of Psychopathology and Health Processes (LPPS) is a research unit that conducts work on individual mental functioning and its evolution in people confronted or not with disorders (autism spectrum disorders, addictions, chronic diseases, etc.). Mental health as a theme that cuts across the three axes of the LPPS was selected during the oral presentation during the session “Research issues: laboratory dynamics”, at the Institute’s centenary ceremony, on September 10, 2021. Mental health is increasingly a national and international concern due to the consequences it entails, particularly in terms of suffering, stigmatization and costs. Whether in terms of screening, evaluation, treatment and prevention in mental health, the LPPS devotes a great deal of research to it and some of its members are recognized and solicited as experts by various national and international organizations.
